About Jacqui

Hi! Thank you for visiting my page to hear more about the Ride 4 kids! My name is Jacqui Hawkins. I'm a local girl from Staghorn Flat, vic & I am about to embark on a major ride to raise funds for the local children's ward.

On February the 21st - 1st of March I will be peddling my way on a 9 day, solo 1,000 km bike ride in a bid to raise funds for the charity 'Give me 5 for kids'. The charity is supported by over 40 Tv & radio stations across regional Australia - including our very own River Radio station!

In conjunction with the River radio's support, I aim to engage the community to dig deep to help our local Children's Ward to raise much needed funds to provide invaluable medical equipment, facilities and support for our local sick children and their families when they need it most

On a personal note I’ve had family and friends use the facilities at our Albury Children's ward. Our local children's ward staff are fantastic and do their very best to make the difficult times that bit more comforting for the families who are in need.

My goal is to grab the community’s attention with the challenging bike ride and getting border business and locals to sponsor me whereby all funds will go directly to the Albury Children's ward. The ride is going to be tough both physical and mental. I will battle the undulating land and alpine areas, peddling through our local towns all in the name of a great cause!!

Over the years millions of dollars have been raised to pay for invaluable medical equipment and provide support for families with sick children in your community, but it’s not nearly enough. So please dig deep and donate now and help support our sick local kids!
